Jointly hosted by Rice University's OwlSpark startup accelerator and the University of Houston's Red Labs startup accelerator, the Bayou Startup Showcase provides an opportunity for startup teams from both accelerator programs to showcase their businesses to the greater Houston community. The Houston West Chamber is looking for smiling faces and friendly voices for the Houston Public Media pledge drive on Monday, August 18 from 5:30 - 9:30 PM! Volunteers will be talking calls from donors and entering information into the database at the studio during the airing of "Independent Lens: Muscle Shoals". New to phone pledge drives? No worries! Same day training and meals are provided. Houston Restaurant Weeks   Established in 2003, HRW is a fun-filled dining event benefiting the Houston Food Bank. Held simultaneously in restaurants in the greater Houston area, Houston Restaurant Weeks is the largest single annual fundraiser for America's largest food bank. This annual event is held in August.
