Trout Payment Systems Corp Announces Launch of Trout Business Capital
Houston, Tx (July 27, 2015) - Trout Payment Systems Corp, a Houston based merchant services firm, has launched subsidiary Trout Business Capital in order to assist Houston area businesses with funding needs that are under-serviced or unmet by conventional banks.
Trout Business Capital will focus on brokering loans for a network of local and national lenders offering SBA financing, restaurant and franchise loans, purchase order financing, accounts receivables factoring, merchant cash advance, hard money and private lending, as well as crowdfunding.
"Over the last couple of years of meeting the merchant services needs of small businesses, I've repeatedly seen firms with deficient access to working capital and investment capital from traditional lenders. Having had a 10 year background raising capital for emerging money managers in New York City, it only made sense to apply that skill-set to the local market albeit in a different industry and capital structure," said Trout CEO Napoleon Butic.
Trout Payment Systems Corp has been positioning itself to enter the small business funding market since earlier this year. In March, Trout hosted the Business Growth Roundtable, featuring Ken Jones of the UH Wolff Center for Entrepreneurship, as well as a panel dedicated to alternative financial solutions. In June, Trout hosted the Houston Crowdfunding Roundtable, which was Houston's very first event with a panel of executives exclusively from Houston based crowdfunding firms.
"There are many small businesses that need capital to grow or run day to day operations. If the big bank cannot help them out, then that's when they can turn to Trout. Our primary group of lenders are local credit unions, community banks, and private entities with deep local roots but lack the marketing footprint of firms like Wells Fargo, Chase, Bank of America, etc."
