"Take time to deliberate; but when the time for action arrives, stop thinking and go in." Andrew Jackson.
Few successful businesses impulsively fire from the hip when making decisions. They gather information, examine the situation, and come to some kind of a decision to move forward.
When the stakes are high, however, it can be easy to fall into "analysis paralysis" and go back and forth on an issue without making any progress.
One of the hardest things about being a leader is knowing that a wrong decision will be picked apart publicly by Monday morning quarterbacks.
Our job as leaders though is to use the best information we have available to make the best possible decision. Pull the trigger with confidence and move on to the next issue.
